Here at the Internet Radio Awards, we want to give you a reason to enter your station into the competition. By far, the best prize of all would be the fact that your station is crowned the #1 Internet radio station! But to go along with that, we have over £500's worth of prizes for the #1 spot, and over £100's worth of prizes for the second place winner!

Moving away from the prizes for a moment, let's quickly talk about the title of #1 Internet radio station. It's hard enough as it is to attract advertisers to Internet radio stations. The fact that there's no real rating system out there like there is for terrestrial radio. For example, in the UK, we have RAJAR, who publish ratings for all stations on the band. With Internet Radio, even though you can prove your listener statistics, without an established organisation to say "Yes, this station has all these listeners", it's a lot harder to get the advertising that can create a revenue to keep your station running.

Well, with the title of "#1 Internet Radio Station" under your belt, advertising revenue will be easier to generate, and new revenue streams can be sourced.

Even if you don't win the number 1 spot, coming second, third, even 30th is generally going to be better than not having any ranking at all! As stated on our about us page, we're a team of broadcasting professionals that have worked for, owned or worked with commercial and Internet radio stations. Our team have studied the trends in advertising sales on Internet Radio stations, and the revenue they generate. The results show that accreditation from a central governing body not only increases sales, but also secures return sales from existing advertisers.
